 We arrived at Bark Bay at 3:15 pm, having done the 8.4 kilometre / 5.2 mile walk from Anchorage deliberately slowly and easily. Unlike the previous afternoon, there had been no need to rush. As a result, we took six-and-three-quarter hours to do what DoC nowadays suggests is a three-hour hike. We liked Bark Bay so much – and the weather was so good – that we camped here for two nights. |
