 We reached the Awaroa Hut at 3:30 pm after a leisurely walk: it taken us about four-and-a-half hours to walk roughly 8.5 kilometres / 5.3 miles. Unlike the first four nights of our hike, we spent our fifth and final night on the track in the Awaroa Hut: it was a pleasant change for the three of us not to be squashed into just one tent. |
