Borah Peak was the fifth American state highpoint that Eric had climbed and my ninth. Although Borah Peak is only the 11th highest of the US state highpoints, it's ranked as the sixth hardest to climb. Getting to the top of Borah meant that I've thus climbed the seven hardest of the US state highpoints. In order of difficulty, the other six that I've climbed are: Denali/Mt McKinley (Alaska) – 1, Gannet Peak (Wyoming) – 2, Granite Peak (Montana) – 3, Mt Rainier (Washington) – 4, Mt Hood (Oregon) – 5, and King's Peak (Utah) – 7; while Eric's now climbed the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th hardest of the US state highpoints. |
