 History: This embroidered-hanging in St Augustine’s church features a range of well-known Chatham Islands’ symbols – such as an albatross, a dendroglyph, a boat, a fishing net, and Chatham Island forget-me-nots – but I confess I cannot work out what the light-brown cat-like figure is in the centre of the embroidery. |
