Cycling in Tasmania, 2006 |
 Tuesday, 3 January 2006 – From Richmond to Triabunna: After a pleasant break for lunch I then cycled seven-and-a-half kilometres north, up the Tasman Highway, to the Tandara Hotel Motel in Trianbunna. After enjoyable and, at times, even exhilarating cycling conditions in the morning, the strong south-westerly made my last few kilometres of the day difficult and dangerous. My friendly tailwind was now a crosswind, and I had to be careful to avoid being blown across the road. |
