 About to enter Wyoming on 13 July 2006. It’s interesting to note that Gannett Peak, the highest mountain in Wyoming, doesn’t feature on the state’s "Welcome to ..." sign; nor too does another extremely well-known Wyoming mountain – namely, Grand Teton. No, the most famous mountain in Wyoming (thanks at least in part to the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind) is Devil’s Tower. |
