 Next, we crossed the Gooseneck Ridge and then climbed up the lower slopes of the Gooseneck Glacier. The angle of the slope steepened quite considerably. Immediately in front of me, Rob can be seen leaning forward and plunging the shaft of his ice-axe into the snow for support as we headed up the glacier towards Gooseneck Ridge. Gooseneck Pinnacle is the rock formation immediately above and to the right of Rob’s pack. |
