The Heaphy Track |
 This photograph of a map of the northern end of the South Island of New Zealand shows where we went. After arriving in Nelson at 10:40 am on 17 October 2009, we were taken in a Trek Express mini-bus via Motueka, Collingwood, and Bainham, to the start of the Heaphy Track. Heather and I then spent five days – 17 to 21 October inclusive – walking from the eastern end of the track to its western end. On 22 October 2009, we got another Trek Express mini-bus ride, this time from Karamea to Nelson, and we then flew back to Wellington in the evening. |
