Also staying in the hut overnight was Carl Devereaux, the son-in-law of old friends of ours, David and Judy Mitchell. Carl recognised me and introduced himself to us. Just before Carl (on the left) and his tramping partner, John Horner (right), set off from the Perry Saddle Hut, I took this photograph of the two of them.
