 “Basecamp” for my “assault” on New Jersey’s highpoint was roughly 60 miles / 100 kilometres away in the next-door state of New York, where I’d spent a very pleasant weekend with Roger Robinson and Kathrine Switzer. I was one of three visitors, which is why the flags of four countries – namely, from left to right, the United States, Austria, New Zealand, and Germany – were on display at Roger and Kathrine’s New Paltz home. |
