Shortly after six o’clock we were thrilled to see this mule deer in the forest. She quickly moved away, making it particularly difficult to photograph her in the early morning light. Nevertheless, despite its poor quality, it’s still worthwhile including this picture in this album in an attempt to convey some of the magic of the moment.
