The Kepler Track |
 This is a photograph of an annotated map of the Kepler Track, which was in a Department of Conservation pamphlet about the track. After arriving in Te Anau on 12 January 2012, Heather, Jiff, and I drove to the Kepler car park and then hiked to Brod Bay and back. On 13 January, we caught a water-taxi from Te Anau to Brod Bay and hiked up to Luxmore Hut. The following day – in dreadful weather – we battled our way across the tops and down to Iris Burn Hut. On 15 January, the three of us walked from Iris Burn Hut, via Moturau Hut, to Rainbow Reach and caught a bus to Te Anau. Two days later, Heather and I went back to Rainbow Reach and walked to the Kepler car park, thus completing a full circuit of the Kepler Track. |
