On Friday, 27 August 2010, Eric Hodge and I flew from Canberra and Wellington respectively to Salt Lake City, Utah. My US highpointing quest had taken me to Utah on several previous occasions. I first visited the “Beehive state” in 2006 both prior to and after climbing the Wyoming and Montana state highpoints, and in 2009 Eric Hodge and I drove through Utah while we were on our way to the Idaho and Oregon state highpoints after we climbed Colorado’s state highpoint.
