 Introduction: My trip to Nepal was preceded by a month’s research leave in Scandinavia that focused on the September 1991 municipal and provincial elections in Norway, and on the local, provincial, and parliamentary elections in Sweden later the same month. I left home on 25 August 1991 with two very heavy bags. |
