 Wednesday, 2 October 1991 – From Kathmandu to Jiri: Dave (left), Geoff, and I had a hair-raising and near-decapitating ride on the roof of the bus during the final descent into Jiri, while the expedition members inside the bus probably had a worse ride: fumes from leaking kerosene tins meant they arrived in Jiri feeling quite nauseous. |
