Thursday, 3 October 1991 – From Jiri to Shivalaya: Our campsite at Shivalaya. Not counting the time we were stopped for lunch, our first day’s trek took us four hours, which I noted in my diary was “a bit short”, but – nevertheless – “the walk and the routine have been a good intro for what’s to come.”
