Saturday, 5 October 1991 – From Bhandar to Seti: After lunch we “set off on full stomachs [and] in the blazing sun” to climb from Kinja up to Seti, which at 2,575 metres was nearly a thousand metres above us. We arrived in Seti at 4:00 pm, after five-and-three-quarter hours’ trekking (excluding the ridiculously long – namely, three-hour – lunch break that we’d had), “just as it clouded over and began to drizzle.”
