An attempt on Lobuje East, 1991

Thursday, 10 October 1991 – From Surkhe to Phakding: Taking advantage of the facts that we had the whole afternoon in Phakding, that it was reasonably sunny, and that the boulders beside the river were warm, I washed some clothes in the river and spread them out on the rocks to dry. However, as I noted in my diary, “the Dudh Kosi was very fast flowing and silty. When my bar of soap fell in, I did not try to retrieve it.”
