 Friday, 11 October 1991 – From Phakding to Namche Bazar: Having an early lunch proved to be a good idea, because afterwards we had to climb – in swelteringly hot weather – from Jorsale (which is 2,805 metres above sea-level) to Namche Bazar (3,440 metres). We began by recrossing the Dudh Kosi on this small cantilevered bridge. |
