 Tuesday, 15 October 1991 – From Kyangjuma to Dole: Most of our expedition’s porters returned to Jiri after we reached Namche Bazar, and for the rest of our time in the Khumbu region the bulk of our gear was carried by two yaks. This is a photograph of the young yak-herders loading our World Expeditions’ gear bags onto the yaks’ backs prior to our departure from Kyangjuma at 8:50 am. |
