An attempt on Lobuje East, 1991 |
 Saturday, 19 October 1991 – Based at Gokyo: To get used to wearing them for when we climb Lobuje East, we all put on our double-plastic mountaineering boots and set off up the valley on an acclimatisation hike. It took us an hour and ten minutes to reach the fourth lake, where I took this photograph of (from left to right) Dave, Geoff, and Diane resting on the shore. |
