 Monday, 21 October 1991 – From the foot of the Cho La pass to our Lobuje East base camp: I noted in my diary that the climb up to the pass “was incredibly steep, rocky, and slippery. I was puffing and grunting almost as much as on the final ascent of Kilimanjaro, but not quite as badly and I didn’t experience any nausea or headaches.” |
