 Monday, 21 October 1991 – From the foot of the Cho La pass to our Lobuje East base camp: A picture of me that was taken at the top of the Cho La pass. I am signalling “nought : one” in jocular reference to the fact that Rheinhold Messner once failed to get over the pass whereas I was able to do so, which made the score nought : one in my favour. |
