An attempt on Lobuje East, 1991


Friday, 25 October 1991 – From our Lobuje East base camp to Dingboche: I clambered down off the trail to take this photograph of the trekkers we were stuck behind. They were a prime example of what the members of one climbing expedition we’d met had contemptuously referred to as “two-stick tossers.”
