After the expedition: In February 2009, Eric and I began another climbing challenge: to climb the highest mountain in each of Australia’s six states and two mainland territories. We started what turned out to be a seven-and-a-half year odyssey by climbing Mt Ossa, 1,617 metres, the highest peak in Tasmania. To do so, we teamed up with Ralph (who lives in Launceston), and this is a photograph of (from left to right) Ralph, Eric, and me) on the summit. |
