Climbing Mauna Kea |
 In keeping with a tradition he started in 2007 on the summit of Mt Elbert, the highest mountain in Colorado, Eric sprinted the final 30 metres or so to the summit. Mauna Kea thus became the eighth US state highpoint on which Eric has run to the summit. Each of those eight peaks is higher than New Zealand’s Mt Cook; six of them – including Mauna Kea – have summits that are over 13,000 feet above-sea-level. Clearly, this is a case of impressive feet performing an impressive feat! |
