Climbing Mont Blanc |
 We had the mountain almost to ourselves. Two hours after leaving the Goûter hut, we could see the Vallot emergency shelter after we’d crested the Dôme du Goûter. Five climbers were coming down the mountain towards us. They were the only climbers we saw all day, and after they passed us, we were the only climbers on the uppermost slopes of Mont Blanc’s Goûter route. |
