 On Friday, 20 August 2004, Eric and I left Saas-Grund and travelled first by bus and then by train to Geneva. Although this painting didn’t adorn the trains we caught on our way to Geneva, I so liked it when I saw it on the side of trains taking us to and from Chamonix that I thought it could act as a worthy substitute for a picture I didn’t take on 20 August.
