 When I saw these signs, I initially assumed that the red-and-white address sign at the top had been put there as a joke. It wasn’t, because – as the local newspaper, The L’Anse Sentinel, had reported less than a week prior to my hike up the mountain – 17193 High Point Road is the address at which “a new meteorological mast has been erected … for the purpose of measuring wind data for a potential future wind farm.” |
