 The Mt Marcy summit plaque was erected to mark the 100th anniversary of the first recorded ascent of the mountain on 5 August 1837. Mt Marcy is 5,344 feet / 1,629 metres above sea-level, and it is the 21st highest of the fifty US state highpoints. |
