Climbing Mt Washington |
 The signpost is at the junction of the Tuckerman Ravine and Alpine Garden trails. The lower board gives the distances down to Pinkham Notch and up to the summit of Mt Washington as 3.4 miles (5.5 kms) and 0.8 miles (1.3 kms) respectively. I reached the junction at 8:50 am – i.e., it had taken me slightly less than three hours to climb the 3.4 miles from Pinkham Notch.
