 A few minutes later, Jake Maarse – the Dutch-Canadian long-distance skater I’d met near the summit of Mt Washington – caught up with me. He’d gone up the Lion Head route and come down via the Tuckerman Ravine trail (and, like me, he too thought the Lion Head trail was considerably more difficult than the Tuckerman Ravine trail). |
