 As a result of Mt Tongariro eruptions during the second half of 2012, the rest of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing track – from Red Crater to Ketetahi – was closed, but as this sign at the top of the Red Crater shows, the track to the Oturere hut was open, which meant that we could legitimately proceed past the sign. |
