The Northern Circuit |
 While we were at the Oturere hut, I overheard a man saying he was from Rhode Island and was in New Zealand because his wife was an Ian Axford Fellow. As I’d given a lecture to the 2013 Axford and Fulbright Fellows only four days earlier, I introduced myself to Scott Triedman, and yes, indeed, his wife – MJ Kaplan – had not only been at my 8 February talk, but she’d also asked me a question.
