Offa's Dyke Path

Day 9 (Thursday, 24 September 2015) – Drewin Farm to Buttington (13 miles / 21 kilometres):
Heather and Bob walking down the narrow lane that leads from Drewin Farm to a tiny village simply called Cwm (a Welsh word – for a bowl-shaped hollow, or cirque, at the end of a mountain valley – which I’ve loved ever since I first heard as a nine-year-old of Mt Everest’s Western Cwm). Peggy’s hip pain (which she has since learnt was caused by degenerative arthritis) meant that she decided not to do the final week’s walk with us but to ride along with our luggage instead.
