 Day 11 (Saturday, 26 September 2015) – Llanmynech to Castle Mill, near Chirk (14 miles / 22.5 kilometres): Looking down into the valley below us, I took this telephoto picture of two impressive engineering feats: Henry Robertson’s railway bridge, which is the taller of the two structures, and – behind the bridge – Thomas Telford’s aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Ceiriog. |
