 Day 4 (Saturday, 30 September 2017) – Barcelos to Balugăes (16.2 kilometres / 10.1 miles): After we left Barcelos, we walked along what our Portugal Green Walks’ roadbook described as “increasingly rural paths interspersed with small villages.” On the outskirts of one of the villages we encountered cachena, long-horned Portuguese cattle, for the first time. |
