Climbing Wheeler Peak
This is a close-up of one of the red, succulent-like plants that can be seen in the bottom left-hand corner of the previous picture. The flowers look like pomegranate seeds. They’re not, of course. They’re called king’s crown and are found, as was the case with the plant in this photo, in “well-drained rocky and gravelly areas.”
