Climbing Mt Zeil

This photograph that I took of part of a page in a UBD atlas shows where we went. We left Alice Springs and drove north along the Stuart Highway for 20 kilometres / 12.5 miles before turning left and heading north-west on the Tanami Road for 118 kilometres / 73 miles, at which stage we again turned left and drove west along the road that goes to Papunya. We drove for 68 kilometres / 42.25 miles along the Papunya Road (which is also called Gary Junction Road) to a spot near the Derwent Station turnoff, when we turned left for the third time, this time onto a private farm road on the Glen Helen Station that led to the base of Mt Zeil.
