Climbing Mt Zeil



A light layer of clouds resulted in a superb sunset. In this picture – taken at 5:55 pm – there’s a golden glow behind Mt Heuglin (1,033 metres / 3,389 feet), which was the most prominent peak on our western horizon. Incidentally, Mt Heuglin was once painted by Albert Namatjira. The painting was sold at an auction in 2006 for a mere $52,800 – if only I’d known it was available ... !
