Climbing Mt Zeil |
 ... and I have climbed together. We now have only Western Australia’s Mt Meharry to climb in order to complete our quest to climb what some people refer to as the “State 8” (a term I dislike for the good reason that Australia has only six states). The Northern Territory Place Names Register notes that Mt Zeil was probably named by Baron Ferdinand von Mueller after Karl Maria Eberhard, Prince of Waldburg-Zeil-Wurzach (1825-1907), a person who had no direct links whatsoever with Australia! |
