 In terms of physical geography, Florida is such a low state that the top storey of the state capitol building – the 22nd-floor observation deck – is 512 feet / 156 metres above sea-level, which is 167 feet / 51 metres higher than the highest natural point in Florida. Clearly, reaching the Florida highpoint was not going to involve any high-altitude climbing! |
