
Day 3 (Saturday, 6 September 2025) – Cuas (An Chlais) to Cloghane (An Clochan): … an ogham stone. Ogham stones date back to the 4th to 7th Centuries AD. They display “early Irish writing … using a unique system of lines and notches, providing [an] insight into the early Irish language.” Our trip notes informed us that this stone “shows a Greek cross and an inscription which translates as: ‘Ronan, the priest son of Camogann’.” |
