
Day 6 (Tuesday, 9 September 2025) – Camp (An Cam) to Annascaul (Abhainn an Scail): On the western side of the valley, we could see the remains of diggings where peat had formerly been harvested. In 2022, after pressure from the European Union, Ireland banned the sale of peat for burning. Turbary rights, however, mean that people can still dig turf for their own use. |
