The Dingle Way, 2025 |
 Day 7 (Wednesday, 10 September 2025) – Annascaul (Abhainn an Scail) to Dingle (Daingean Ui Chuis): Shortly after 2:00 pm, we reached this spot, where our Hillwalk trip notes had said we would “see a stile into a field on [our] right.” The trip notes added, “From this point on, the Dingle Way leaves the road and mostly follows field paths and ancient, rugged farm tracks for the next 5.5 kilometres, before again joining minor surfaced roads for a little over 2.5 kilometres. Depending on the weather, these paths and tracks can be very muddy and wet.” As a result, as Heather is indicating by crossing her arms, we made a decision to follow Hillwalk’s ‘Option 1’ – i.e., to leave the Dingle Way – and to “continue straight along the road for approximately 7 kilometres into Dingle Town.” |
