Climbing Eagle Mountain |
 Cathy Fitch and Evan Roberts about to set off at 12:30 pm from the trailhead. It was deer hunting season in northern Minnesota, so the three of us wore bright red vests to let hunters know we were not deer! As the trailhead is 1,720 feet / 524 metres above sea-level, we had to ascend 581 feet / 177 metres during a hike of roughly three miles / five kilometres in order to reach the top of Eagle Mountain. |
