Climbing Gannett Peak |
 Going back up Bonney Pass was exhausting. With the exception of Mark, we were all very tired, and about two-thirds the way up I stopped to rest on the scree and talus slopes. I eventually reached our campsite at 5:20 pm – we’d been on the go for 13 hours and 20 minutes. The ascent of Gannett Peak had taken us 6 hours and 35 minutes, and after 55 minutes on the summit, the descent had taken us 5 hours and 50 minutes. |
