Climbing Mt Greylock |
 After climbing Connecticut’s highpoint (which is on the south shoulder of Mt Frissell) on Friday afternoon, 23 August 2013, I spent the night in a bed-and-breakfast near Canaan, Connecticut. The following morning I headed north, up the western edge of Massachusetts on US federal highway 7 and through an area generally known as the Berkshires. Roughly six miles / ten kilometres north of Pittsfield, I turned right off US-7 onto North Main Street and then Rockwell Road, which led to the Mount Greylock State Reservation. |
