Climbing Guadalupe Peak, Texas
|

On Sunday, 2 October 2016, however, it was time to hit the road again. I left Albuquerque, New Mexico, and drove south to Texas on the I-25 US interstate highway, which – just south of University Park, New Mexico – melds into the I-10 interstate highway. To get to Guadalupe Peak, I continued driving on the I-10 as far as the Ramada Inn on the eastern outskirts of El Paso, where I spent the night. Then, on Monday morning, 3 October 2016, I drove north on Lee Trevino Drive as far as US federal highway 62/180, where I turned right and headed east along US-62/180 to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. |
