 Just after 9:00 am, the summit of Guadalupe Peak was visible above us, but – in order to reach it – we had to drop down off the plateau we were walking across and then make our way up the trail that can be seen zigzagging (i.e., switch-backing) its way up the mountain on the left-hand side of the picture. |
